DEDICATEDDis a nonprofit, grassroots organization founded in New York. We work diligently on Long Island to assist victims and educate all about the dangers of drunken and drugged driving. We also work to prevent underage drinking and educate young people about safe driving practices.
We are experienced anti-DUI activists, victim advocates, victims, volunteers, concerned citizens, health care professionals, members of the rehabilitation community and business people, moms, dads, sisters, brothers, people just like you. We are dedicated to working together to spare families from the heartbreak and loss caused by drunk, drugged and impaired driving.
DEDICATEDD was founded with the belief that we can all do our part to make a difference and that the contributions of all, regardless of how small, add up to significant steps towards achieving our mission.
DEDICATEDD believes that the ultimate tool is a community united to save lives. DEDICATEDD believes that we all have a role to play in making our roadways and waterways safer for ourselves, families and friends.
DEDICATEDD acknowledges that adults over the age of 21 are entitled to consume alcohol. It is not, nor ever will be, a prohibitionist organization. But we believe that when a person chooses to get behind the wheel in an impaired state, he/she is now violating our right to a safe passage home.
DEDICATEDD needs YOUR help! You can help both as an active volunteer and as a member. Our volunteers conduct speaking programs (in schools, to civic groups, etc.), volunteer their time at tabling events and health fairs, and participate in letter writing campaigns both in support of victims and seeking legislative reform.
